Acai Berry Testimonial - Part 5 of 12 - Acai Berry Testimonial

Fruta Vida User

Elenor Duckens:

"I have always been a person who did not have much energy. However, my life is, and has been filled with many things that I do on a daily basis.

I have a highly stressful job, and because of my commitment and dedication to serving God and His people, I am very involved in Church work. I am the ninth of twelve children, and we were raised by our parents to always be there for each other.

My oldest brother is the Pastor of the church that I attend. In 1997, he had his first heart attack, and then had three additional ones between November and December 2001. At the time of his last heart attack, he was diagnosed as a diabetic.

On Monday, May 9, 2005 he was admitted to the hospital because his feet are very infected due to diabetes. On the evening of Friday, May 13, 2005 he experienced severe chest pains and was put in ICU.

That Friday morning before going to the hospital, my younger brother had told me about the Fruta Vida Acai Berry Drink, and that Arvall Hall was going to meet with him and explain the drink. I had my brother to set up a conference call so that I could ask Arvall several questions to determine the legitimacy of the product.

After our conversation, I was impressed with the product and invited Arvall to come to my house for further discussion. He had met with me, and gave me a sample of this great drink.

I drank the drink and immediately began to feel great. When we were told that my brother was to be placed in ICU, a sister of mine and I decided that we would stay in the hospital with him all night. During the night, my sister had a very hard time staying awake, but I was wide awake and was able to be there for my brother all through the night.

In fact, I did not lay down to sleep until 8:00 p.m. the next day which was Saturday, May 14, 2005. I did not feel tired or irritable during the day. When I decided to lay down on Saturday evening, I had one of the best sleeps I had had in a long time and awoke on Sunday morning feeling fresh, energized, and ready to go to church and worship Christ.

I am so thankful to God for this product and to Arvall for sharing The Acai Berry with me."

Testimonial From Fruta Vida user - Fruta Vida is a potent Acai Berry Drink.

Nicole Pugh

Dear Fruta Vida,
I was diagnosed with internal scleroderma, an auto immune disease, in 1998. This disease is said to be incurable and its defining characteristic are the building up of collagen in the internal organs.

Scleroderma patients develop symptoms such as extreme fatigue, joint and muscle pain, circulation problems to the extremities and severe digestive problems, just to name a few.

About a year ago, I began really feeling the affects of this slow-moving, but sometimes fatal, disease. I began sleeping more (sometimes 11-13 hours a night just to make it through the day), was experiencing joint and muscle pain and also developed digestive problems (including intolerance to wheat, corn, dairy, sugar and soy).

What affected me most of all, however, was that no matter how much I slept, I was always fatigued. I was beginning to become depressed and had given up on a lot of my projects, hopes and dreams. I simply did not have the energy to do anything other than go to work and fall into bed each night.

Well, all that changed three weeks ago!

From the moment I began taking Fruta Vida, I noticed a difference! I now have more energy. My thinking is clearer, my mood is brighter and I do not fall into bed at nine o`clock every night! I now get 7-8 restful hours of sleep and have energy to burn.

As a "lagniappe" (that`s N`awlins-speak for something a little extra), now I can go out with friends on a weeknight (and stay out a little late) and not fall apart at work the next day! 2-3 ounces of Fruta Vida a day (in addition to maintaining a healthy lifestyle) has helped with my digestion as well.

I haven`t had a digestive flare-up in the three weeks since I have taken the product. In all honesty, I haven`t felt this good and had this much energy in a long, long time. I look forward to what life has in store for me in the months to come!

Thank you Fruta Vida! Nicole Pugh

What Is In the Acai Berry?

Acai is the only super berry on the market that has everything that you need. It packs vitamin B1, B2, B3, vitamin E, vitamin C, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, fiber, proteins, and good fatty acids such as Omega 6 and Omega 9. Research on acai has shown that these antioxidants are known to fight and regulate cholesterol levels in the body.

As an added benefit acai gives you the highest level of antioxidant on the market, with studies showing up to 33 times the antioxidant as in red wine grapes.
Something must also be said about anthocyanins, since acai contains the most highly concentrated forms of anthocyanins known thus far through intense research.

Anthocyanins are some of the more potent forms of antioxidants. We have all heard of the "French Paradox", how the people of France, with their high fat diets and not uncommon unhealthy lifestyles, are still below the percentage of related deaths from cardiovascular disease than many of the populations that exist today. One reason may be that they consume large amounts of red wine. Wines, made from grapes have very high levels of the antioxidant anthocyanins.

The polyphenols (anthocyanins) in red wine are believed to mitigate the effects of a fatty diet and smoking. Anthocyanin is a polyphenol that is proven to reverse, halt, and improve the conditions of many age related diseases inflicted on the general population. Anthocyanins (flavonoids) found in various fruits have a unique chemical structure that makes them 6 to 8 times more potent than vitamin C.

One particular fruit, the acai berry, contains the most highly concentrated forms of anthocyanins known thus far through intense research. The anthocyanin content in the acai berry is proven to be 3.5 times the amount of that present in a glass of red wine, volume to volume when tested in an ORAL analysis (measure of capacity).
Here is a list of some of the health problems that anthocyanins help address and protect against:

Inflammation and Collagen: Anthocyanins neutralize enzymes that destroy connective tissue. Their antioxidant capacity prevents oxidants from damaging connective tissues and repair damaged proteins in the blood vessel walls.

The Nervous System: By preventing tyrosine nitration, the anthocyanin properties in acai may help protect against neurological diseases. The primary anthocyanins in acai known as Cyanidin-3-glucoside have been found to help in the reversal of age related neurological deficits.

Large and Small Blood Vessels: Anthocyanins ability to counter oxidants makes it a powerhouse in the fight against arteriosclerosis. Even in trace amounts, anthocyanins effectively protect against LDL oxidation. Anthocyanins protect the integrity of the endothelial cells that line blood vessel walls and help to maintain micro capillary integrity.

Diabetes: One of the serious diabetic complications is retinopathy, which in most cases can cause blindness. This condition occurs when the body attempts to repair leaking, damaged capillaries, but does so by over producing abnormal proteins. The protection of anthocyanins may help prevent these capillaries from leaking and to help prevent abnormal protein proliferation.

Eyesight: Anthocyanins may also help improve eyesight. In the Second World War, British fighter pilots were found to have improved night vision. These findings were thought to be contributed to by the large amounts of bilberry in the pilot’s diet. The effects of the improved night vision were not long lasting after the initial consumption of bilberry - lasting just hours after initial consumption. With this newfound advantage, the pilots would consume the bilberry fruits just prior to the mission.

Finally, besides being considered one of the “richest foods in iron”, the acai is also rich in fiber, which makes it strongly recommended for the elderly and/or for people with digestive problems.

For its microbiological characteristics, acai is considered one of the most nutritive foods in the Amazon, and perhaps in the world.

More Acai Information & Business Opportunity

It is my privilege to offer you this report on the acai berry. Please read it thoroughly. After you have, feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

What Is the Acai Berry?

Acai (pronounced ah-sigh-EE) is a palm tree that grows throughout the Amazon basin. The fruit of acai is small and dark purple or black in color, and is about the size of a grape. The berry is harvested naturally from the depths of the rain forests of Brazil by the people who have been using it for thousands of years.

The acai berry was recently listed on the Oprah Winfrey show as #1 of the top 10 superfoods for anti-aging. Her show featured Dr. Nicholas Perricone, author of the #1 New York Times best-seller, The Perricone Promise. He said the following:

It may seem odd to start this list of superfoods with one you've likely never even heard of. But studies have shown that this little berry is one of the most nutritious and powerful foods in the world.

Acai (ah-sigh-ee) is the high-energy berry of a special Amazon palm tree. Harvested in the rain forests of Brazil, acai tastes like a vibrant blend of berries and chocolate.

Hidden within its royal purple pigment is the magic that makes it nature's perfect energy fruit. Acai is packed full of antioxidants, amino acids, and essential fatty acids. Although acai may not be available in your local supermarket, you can find it, often in juice form.

In fact, studies show that açaí provides significantly more antioxidants than such well-respected foods as blueberries, oranges and even red wine. Perhaps more impressive is that the antioxidant concentration in the açaí fruit is five times higher than that of gingko biloba, the popular “brain boosting” herbal supplement that is renowned for its antioxidant properties.

This leads me to say more about what this little berry “packs."

Acai Berry Article - Sent In From An Acai Berry Blog Reader

Acai Berry
is one of the best Superfoods in the world! According to
Dr.
Nicholas Perricone in his new best selling book The Perricone Promise

the Acai berri is the number one of the ten top superfoods. Yes some
foods can be eaten to help you look and age better! This amazing berry
was also recently given national recognition on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Acai berry fruit -This little berry is one of the most
nutritious and powerful foods in the world
. It can often be found in
juice form in health food and gourmet stores

Acai (pronounced Ah-Sa-E) is an Amazon Super Berry.

This new berry is 100% all natural and it is harvested naturally from
depths of the rainforests of Brazil, by the people who have been using it for
over thousands of years. Acai is the only super berry on the market that has
everything that you need, naturally from only the berry itself. It packs
Vitamin B1, B2, B3, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Phosphorus, Calcium, Potassium,
Fiber, Proteins, beneficial fatty acids such as Omega 6, Omega 9 to helps you
fight your cholesterol problems and many, many more; there are just too many
to list.

As an added benefit, it gives you the highest
level of anti-oxidant on the market, with studies showing up to 33 times the
anti-oxidant as red wine grapes. With Acai it gives you the energy from your
youth and opens up the vitality and increased stamina you had in your 20's. So
try the new "Fountain of Youth" from this forbidden Amazon Berry and
you too will feel the power of the Amazon.

Research on Acai has shown that these Anti-Oxidants are known to fight and
regulate cholesterol levels in the body.

Acai has two essential fatty acids known as Omega 6 (Linoleic acid) and Omega
9 (Oleic acid). Research shows that Omega 6 helps lower LDL, which is the
harmful cholesterol. Then you have Omega 9 fatty acids which lower LDL and
maintain HDL (beneficial cholesterol) levels.

Acai's Anti-Oxidant factors play a large role in maintenance of the vascular
cardiac system, which is important for better blood circulation.

What is Acai Acai - Euterpe Oleracea (Arecaceae)?

The fruit is small, round and blackish purple, It looks like a grape, but
smaller and darker. It has a big seed and very little pulp. Acai is widely used
in energy drinks, ice cream, energy bars with granola.

In order to obtain a healthy Acai, the most important is the quickness in the
time between the harvest and the processing. The Acai is very rich in
antocianine, an antioxidation substance that helps to fight the cholesterol and
free radicals. Have you ever heard that a glass of red wine everyday is good for
the heart? This is because of the antocianine in the grape, It is not by
accident that the color of the Acai is similar to the color of red wine,
although the Acai has 33 times more anticianine than the grape. The antocianine
is also a strong natural coloring,

Besides being considered one of the
"Richest
foods in iron" the Acai is also rich In fibers which makes it strongly recommended for
the elderly and/or for people with problems in the digestive organs, For its microbiological characteristics the Acai Is considered one of the most nutritive fruits in the Amazon, preceded only by the chestnut of Pera.

Acai is considered new potential source of natural red coloring matter for
use. Nothing has been found in the composition of the Acai that would cause any
reaction when mixed with other foods.

In summary, the Acai is a caloric drink (due the high lipase tenor), with
high fiber tenor, anthocyanin and other micro-nutrients. Therefore, it can be
considered one of the most nutritional fruits from Amazon.

Each year, the agricultural food industry is researching sources of natural
Colorants, Among these, anthocyanines are of particular interest due to the
large range of colors that they have (orange, red, blue) and their very
important nutritional properties., in effect, anthocyanines are pigments
belonging to the flavonoid group and have very high antioxidant levels.

The quantification of anthocyanines in a product is generally done by quick
and less costly techniques such as direct or indirect spectrophotometer and the
use of a Minolta color meter. Please note that spectrophotometer can also give
qualitative facts on the type of anthocyanines presents.

The fruits of the Euterpe Oleracea are particularly rich in anthocyanines.

(nalvadin-3-glucoside) in an ORAC analysis (measure of antioxidant
    capacity
    ) (2).
  • Anthocyanins have been found to "exhibit numerous potential
therapeutic effects including treatment of diabetic retinopathy and

A Very Interesting Acai Berry Fact - How Much Acai Can They Drink!

From the prior Acai Berry Article that I mentioned in my last post I gained a very interesting little tidbit of information on the Acai.

In the South American city of Belem they estimate 200,000 liters of Acai Berry juice is consumed on a daily basis amongst a population of 1.3 Million people.

This has developed a very strong industry employing nearly 30,000 people.

Acai Is Great For Energy - Acai Is Even Better For Sex!

Or so the locals say...

Here is an excerpt from another very lengthy but interesting article on the Acai Berry.

"Rio de Janeiro is the city that worships health and beauty and where the healthy and the beautiful drink açaí. Pronounced ah-sah-yee, açaí is more of a lifestyle option than a foodstuff; a magic fruit potion that fuels the hedonistic energy of Brazilian beach life.

Shortly after I moved to Rio, I was told about the acai berry's amazing nutritional properties: Brazilians believe it gives you strength, energy and is great for sex.

A friend told me that when he was having difficulty in fathering a child, the first thing his doctor recommended was 'drink lots of acai. And it worked!'

I took my first sip at one of the juice bars that line the blocks by the beach. The berry juice is served half-frozen and its thick gloopiness means that you slurp it up with a spoon. This seems to accentuate its carnal, brutish aspect. As does the fact that the people who drink it are invariably nearly naked, in Speedo trunks or bikinis. "

How The Acai Berry Is Locally Prepared In The Amazon

The Acai Berry can be prepared as a drink in the following way...

First the Acai Berry Juice needs to be extracted from the Acai Berries then the Acai Drink is made like this:

The pits of the Acai Berry are placed in water so that it can soften the fine peel that covers the Acai fruit.

Soon after, the Acai pits are kneaded with water in a clay bowl or nowadays a machine may do it. The Acai mixture is then filtered through special sieves to obtain the Acai's purple liquid, thick and with a very distinct flavor.

After adding sugar, tapioca meal or farinha-d'água (manioc flour), locals drink this Acai juice cold from a gourd or bowl with a spoon.
